In Spring of 2014 deadmau5 took his highly recognizable Nyan Cat styled “Purrari” and participated in The Gumball 3,000, a 3,000 mile ride with several legs around the world including areas like New York, Miami and Ibiza.
His documentary, properly titled “Spirit of Gumball,” outlines his adventures inside of five countries throughout a seven day period. The 16-minute long film captures his pit stops, run in with the police and more, though it eventually concludes with his acceptance speech after winning the 2014 “Spirit of the Gumball” award.
Joel is obviously a man of many talents and interests that go far beyond music. This documentary is a nod to that but doesn’t stray too far off of his beating path as you’ll hear several tracks off of his last album “while(1 < 2)” throughout his film.
