After his incredible troll-filled set at Ultra Music Festival as the stand-in Saturday night headliner, Deadmau5 promised fans he would show them “a live full on techno-actual-good-music set” from his studio in Toronto. Mr. Zimmerman kept his promise and a fan uploaded the set to YouTube after it was streamed on live.dead-mau5.com.
The mau5 did play some minimal tech during his Ultra set, but the stuff is this video is unlike anything else you’ll hear on the main stage at such an event. You won’t hear any Beatport top 40 songs here. Plus, we love watching him bop around behind his laptop and tangles of wires. We’re expecting his 2 disc 25 track album to drop sometime this month.
