After months of waiting in anticipation, fans have finally received word from Canadian Progressive-House producer, and expert troll, Deadmau5, that his Ferrari 458 Spider has completed its transformation into what has been dubbed “The Purrari 2k14”. Now roaming the streets of Toronto, this car is nearly impossible to miss, covered in an electric-blue skin with the iconic Nyan Cat graphic plastered across the side in all its pixelated, multicoloured glory.
Being a notorious perfectionist, Joel Zimmerman [Deadmau5], paid much attention to detail on this vehicle, having posted images of the custom Nyan Cat floor mats, modified Ferrari logo, as well as a licence plate that reads “EPICLULZ” on his Instagram:
Not surprisingly, a fan has already caught sight of this flamboyant car cruising around Toronto, and snapped this picture:
This picture, tweeted to him from the fan, sparked the altruistic idea of “Spot The Purrari”, which Joel expressed in a tweet that he hopes to implement in the near future (note: Deadmau5′ Twitter account had been ‘hacked’ when the screenshot was taken):
Deadmau5 fans have also been eagerly waiting to watch his signature Coffee Runs happen in his revamped vehicle, and Joel has already lined up a slew of noteworthy guests to accompany him to Tim Hortons in the near future. Rob Ford, the infamous mayor of Toronto (who has already displayed an interest in electronic music on various accounts), has surprisingly agreed to take part in the first Coffee Run in the Purrari after Joel asked via Twitter.
Deadmau5 has been on an epic trolling-spree over the past week, having also put down an impromptu, but highly-comical set at Ultra Music Festival. He is also expected to be dropping his highly-anticipated new album sometime this month, with more details to come soon.
