With it having been over a year since his last formal release, Deadmau5 fans would undoubtedly attest that the wait for the iconic Canadian Progressive-House virtuoso’s seventh full-length studio album has been quite arduous. Fans have been on-edge waiting in eager anticipation ever since Joel [Deadmau5] divulged in January that his album would be ready to go in March, however, due to a series of label issues, he stated that it’s release was to be postponed by a few months. Set to be released by Astralwerks, a specific date for the album has not yet been announced, however Joel took to Twitter last night to quell the grousing about the lengthy wait time:
It is no secret that Joel Zimmerman is a massive perfectionist, and it is very heartening for fans to see him genuinely content with his own work. Joel has also been experimenting with different styles and genres in the past few weeks, having streamed an impromptu Techno set on his subscription-based platform, Deadmau5 Live, as well as confessed to having released a few Techno tracks under a different alias. Being the highly-talented sound engineer, producer, and all-around musician that he is, there is no question that Deadmau5′ upcoming album will be a real game-changer in the dance music scene. We will keep you updated as more details about the album come to surface.
