When Deadmau5 announced his Governor’s Ball afterparty at Verboten New York, fans exploded into a frenzy for the opportunity of seeing him at such a small club setting. In addition, tickets were priced at a reasonable $30, making it affordable for all.
As a result, fans got their browsers ready in the minutes leading up to the 12pm release time on April 17. To the shock of everybody, tickets were sold out seemingly at the very instant the clock struck 12:00. This was a suspiciously fast sell-out, even for a deadmau5 show.
just woke up to this verboten stuff…. getting to the bottom of it. no worries.

It seemed very likely that a large chunk of tickets were purchased by automated bots for scalping purposes. However, scaplers not only screwed real fans, they also duped themseleves — Verboten has a no ticket resale policy for this event; whoever bought the tickets must arrive on site with their ID and credit card at the door.
It looks like whatever deadmau5 took care of, worked to some extent. Even stubhub removed the ticket listings to the show.
Due to incredibly high demand, @deadmau5 tix sold out immediately. In order to combat scalping, Stubhub+other resold tix will not be honored

As of now, we are just hoping that deadmau5 can get the scalped tickets to fans who truly want to attend his show.
