Digital Mirage is the brain child of Proximity and Brownies and Lemonade, two prominent record labels in the EDM scene that both decided to take advantage of the online streaming space to continue to bring fans all over the world a much needed escape from the reality that is 2020. Their first edition of the Digital Mirage online music festival back in April of this year, drew in over 1.1 million viewers and garnered 4.1 million playbacks after the festival ended. Some performances you may have stuck in your memories from this event are probably from Alison Wonderland, TOKiMONSTA‘s desert destination set, the magical combination of Dabin and Said the Sky as Dab the Sky, and Keys and Krates to name a few. Not only did they throw on a well curated event, but Digital Mirage also focused on raising donations. Their first event was able to donate $130,000 to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that is committed to supporting musicians and those that work in the music industry whose livelihood has been severely affected by the pandemic.
Later on in the summer, we got to see Digital Mirage 2.0, which featured over 58 artists, including GRiZ, NGHTMRE, Chet Porter‘s unforgettable underwater performance and San Holo‘s set that he shot in slow motion. Most notably, they postponed the event to a week later than the originally planned June 5-7 in order to show solidarity on Blackout Tuesday that took place industry-wide as well as the rest of the world. This time around, the donations generated went to the Equal Justice Initiative and Color of Change foundations in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Every time Digital Mirage is announced, we are always extremely excited to see who is on the lineup but also feel encouraged with the positive impacts they make with each event.
Most of us are probably going to be staying home for Thanksgiving this year and have most likely moved any family get togethers or Friendsgiving events to video chat, but Digital Mirage is back to give us our own Friendsgiving online music festival this November 27-28. The music festival has delivered once again on the lineup, with electronic music tastemakers like Glitch Mob, Tiesto, Whipped Cream, Nina Las Vegas, LP Giobbi, Ookay, and many more set to take to the decks. We will also be treated to a special B2B set with NGHTMRE and Zhu, a Louis The Child Friendsgiving set, and Tchami B2B Dr. Fresch in the Dark Knight’s BatCave! Check out the full lineup below.
For Friendsgiving, Digital Mirage has chosen to have all proceeds to be donated to Plus1‘s Fund for Covid-19 relief as well as to the artists on the lineup. You can RSVP for the event here. Be sure you mark your calendars, set up Zoom rooms for your friends, and join the rest of the world in the most epic Friendsgiving ever.
