Glitterbox does it again with a new spin on Kathy Brown’s original “You Give Good Love” remixed by D’n’A Studios, and, dare I say, it rivals the original. There is much to be said about remixing a track that isn’t broken, especially when that track is in the Disco Hall of Fame. But even it if it isn’t broken, sometimes what you can come up with by taking a song apart and putting it back together can actually create something that will transcend music for ages to come. Which is exactly what Glitterbox accomplished with their remix of “You Give Good Love.”
Originally, Kathy Brown and with Jay-J released “You Give Good Love” in 1998 and it wasn’t until nearly 20 years later on February of this year, that Glitterbox released D’n’A’s funky bass edit of the track.
A fresh pair of hands is exactly what “You Give Good Love” needed, and in return RaverRafting celebrates this wondrous effort. This just goes to show, working on something with a fresh pair of lenses makes all the differences.
