“Paycheck,” a collaboration between Dropout and The Ready Set, gels with me for a multitude of reasons. I watched The Ready Set rise 10 years ago in the pop punk/post-hardcore days, while Dropout has made several singles that I can’t get enough of – the two of the together formed a sun-kissed song that is as heartwarming as it is colorful and chill.
Dropout and The Ready Set are both soon-to-be-stars within the dance music scene, each having a nice solid audience base, great branding, and standout sounds. These two seem to be a match-made in heaven.
