EDC Las Vegas Artist Spotlight: Gryffin

Techno, tech house, house, dubstep, melodic, trance… the list goes on and on. We could fill the screen you’re reading this on with genre after genre. With EDC Las Vegas being a massive juggernaut, it’s one of the best festivals that you can attend that will host literally every one of those sub genres. We wanted to focus on a lighter-sided genre and artists in the scene today with Gryffin.

A sound that can be melodic, deep, house, or tropical that is always delivered. Dan Griffith, aka Gryffin, started at a young age mastering the piano and guitar while playing in bands growing up in New York State. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Southern California, but devoted much of his extra time and energy working on new music along with creating remixes for his friends to play at parties. Jump to 2015 and Gryffin has released some of the biggest remixes of the year. Tove Lo’s “Talking Body”, Maroon 5’s “Animals” and Years & Years “King” all made huge waves, along with his Flight Log Mixes on Soundcloud garnering over 3 million plays and a Diplo & Friends premiere. All of this led to Gryffin’s first world premiere DJ performance at SnowGlobe music festival in 2015, and has hit many others and toured since. His mastery of live instruments including guitars, keyboards and drum pads during all of his sets help to set him apart.

After all of the incredible remixes he’s released, Gryffin finally blessed us with his very first original “Whole Heart”, featuring Bipolar Sunshine with almost two million streams on Soundcloud alone.
