Even though the festival has just ended, the rumor mill is buzzing about next year’s EDC Las Vegas. The Examiner is reporting that sources have revealed that the festival will be expanding to a two weekend format in 2014.
Sources at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway claim that Insomniac has already finalized plans to hold the three-day festival for two full weekends in June of 2014. Electric Daisy Carnival is currently the largest music festival in North America, with sell-out crowds of 115,000 per night over 3-days, as well as the, now, weeklong EDC Week, which draws even bigger numbers to Las Vegas for the festivities.
If there’s any area that can hold the amount of people EDC Las Vegas / EDC Week will bring in, it’s Las Vegas. There’s ample room, transportation and capacity at all of the hotels, resorts and casinos. Las Vegas was built to host tourists, whereas there is more difficulty involved with areas like Miami or New York. Ultra Music Festival is reportedly returning to the one weekend format in 2014.
