Ellie Goulding – Lights [Operation Dankstar Remix]

Another lights remix, but this time it’s done by a friend and it even includes a Tim & Eric soundbite. Operation Dankstar is the work of Michael Klicos, guitarist for Fire in the Hole and one of the divine leaders for the edm facebook group Get Weird.

I know Klicos from when I used to play counter-strike in his cousins basement, but that’s not really important. The lights remix gets really fun with some electro pop sounds and guitar rifts, that’s definitely different from the 1,000 other versions out there. Definitely a rock Thrice-esque influence in there with a mellow piano keyed comedown.

As an added gem, it’s rumored that Bassnectar and Ellie could be working on their next track together. Or they’re just doing some ballroom dancing.
