Fairplay are a unique house duo bringing their own style within their respective scene. From Jordan and certainly well-cultured when it comes to their life and musical experiences, Fuad Abu Jaber and Faisal Tadros (aka Fairplay,) combine the best parts of their talents to achieve a sound that will stand the test of time. Their efforts result in something unique and different being brought to the table.
Having released on labels such as Kindisch, Bar 25, Stil Vor Talent, Nightcolours, New Violence, and Slightly Sizzled plus their sound being much more like a journey that you embark on spiritually rather than a dance-pop tune that you touch and bounce from, they are rising assuredly and are unequivocally underrated.
We chatted with the duo to talk about how they get into the mental space to produce, future plans, and so much more.
Exclusive Interview
How did the two of you develop your particular style?
It was a culmination of things, but mainly going out and hearing other producers play out their music. We liked many different genres and wanted to try and fuse them together.
What inspired the creation of the alias Fairplay?
Since the beginning we have been inspired by similar tastes in music, and we had a vision to create our own individual sound.
What do you hope listeners take away from ‘High Plains’?
We hope they take away the vibe we focused on when creating it. It is a soundtrack to an alternate reality – we envisioned a cross between an oasis in the deep desert, Berghain, and a video game.
What are some artists who are on rotation for you at the moment?

We are really into the melodic organic sound coming out right now.
What helps you get into a creative mindset?
Going out, listening to new music. Spending time in the studio and playing around with different sounds and projects. We feel the more time we spend making music the more our music evolves and mutates.
We also focus on our wellbeing; when we feel relaxed we are able to focus and create better.
Any new music coming from Fairplay as 2021 ends?
Loads of new projects. We have an EP coming out in November with “Downtempo Love”. We are really excited about that one 😀
