British singer, songwriter and producer Fox Stevenson has unleashed his latest EP Take You Down/Melange, out on Liquicity Records on March 12.
The new releases showcase Stevenson’s appetite for liquid drum and bass as well as his mastery of injecting soft, emotional lyrics with a healthy dose of punchy electronica.
In “Take You Down,” Stevenson’s melodic lyrics build up to a potent drum and bass drop, while “Melange” starts off with a minimalist drum and bass beat contrasted against vibrant chord-led synths. Fox Stevenson said:
I’m really happy to be releasing take you down, it’s been a long time coming! Thrown together from pieces of rock band sessions and testing a more minimal approach at some dnb, it’s kind of a weird Amalgamation of where my heads been the last year, it’s nice to throw this out there
