In the blink of an eye, Ookay has gone from being an unknown, underground trap artist to a very recognizable bass-producer, now collaborating with the likes of Borgore. It still surprises me to see how quickly underground DJ’s can rapidly rise to fame.
Borgore and Ookay’s bass-heavy remix of Dirtyphonics’ “Hanging on Me” combines bits of Hardstyle, Dubstep, and House, all into one mesmerizing remix. The vocals of Liela Moss and the nearly-Gothic chord progressions of the original are fascinating enough, but Borgore and Ookay take it to the next level. I can only hope this won’t be their last collaboration.
