Listen to three Hard Rock Sofa remixes along with their brand new original with Matisse & Sadko and Swanky Tunes

Hard Rock Sofa has released a total of four tracks in around a week, three remixes and one original. Their three remixes are of Calvin Harris‘ ‘Let’s Go’, Norman Doray and Nervo‘s ‘Something To Believe In’, and David Guetta‘s ‘Last Time’. It’s hard to believe that the Russian duo even found time to pump out a fresh new original with Matisse & Sadko and Swanky Tunes entitled ‘Chemistry (Turn The Flame Higher)’. The tracks cover a range of genres from progressive to electro house along with a range of labels including, Spinnin’ Records, What A Music, Showland, and Columbia Records.

Starting with HRS’s remix of Calvin Harris’ ‘Lets Go’, the pair take a heavier approach by dropping in a screaming synth. They lean away from the vocals but keep the overall theme of the original. Moving on to their rework of Norman Doray and Nervo’s ‘Something To Believe In’, Alexander Shapovalov and Denis Chepikov (Hard Rock Sofa) drop in some aggressive electro lines and twist the melody which starts out evil and ends giving off a semi uplifting vibe. The duo rearranges and edits the vocals to their liking, creating a remix that is far from the original.

Next up is Hard Rock Sofa’s remix of David Guetta’s ‘Last Time’ which is correctly labeled as a ‘Big Room Mix’, the tune follows their heavy electro guidelines. The Russians take the soulful original and drown it in what seems to be a pool of sinister electro house sounds. Last but not least you can’t forget Alexander and Denis’ brand new collaboration with Matisse & Sadko and Swanky Tunes. Stepping away from the electro style madness the collaboration takes a more organized progressive route, however the tune keeps the wrathful emotion of HRS through the ‘Turn The Flame Higher‘ vocal sample.
