Helping others has always been an important ethos in dance music, whether it’s helping out a stranger at a festival with some water, or ensuring that people get home safe after a show. While most of us can’t help others on a much bigger scale, world-class artists like Hardwell can, and the Dutch house maestro is doing his part by starting his very own charity organization, the United We Are Foundation. Together with the United Welfare Trust, Hardwell’s United We Are Foundation strives to provide an education to the less-fortunate youth beginning in India, and expanding into other countries.
To help launch his United We Are Foundation, Hardwell is throwing an exclusive party in Mumbai for 100,000 fans. The catch? Hardwell is turning down his appearance fee for the show, and any profits and proceedings will go to the United We Are Foundation to help springboard its cause of providing education to children. Admission to the show in India is free, as Hardwell is shooting for the Guinness World Record for the largest guest list by opening up his guest list to all 100,000 fans that will attend the show. You can check out the announcement video for the United We Are Foundation above, and find more information on the event here.
