Hydraulix is far from his first release on trending bass label WAKAAN, but this is easily his biggest release to date with them. Imposter Syndrome is a colossal 20-track album featuring collaborations with Afterthought, Doctor P, G-Rex, Nitti Gritti, Oski, and many others.
If there is one over-reaching theme that jumps out across all the songs, it is that there is some serious haunting heat within here. Experimental bass, hip-hop, and dozens of other influences all find their place within the experience, yet each song has a certain feel unique to this producer that only he can bring.
Here is what Hydraulix had to say on the album.
“I feel like everyone who does anything creative can at some point suffer from ‘Imposter Syndrome.’ It’s such a common feeling that I’ve shared with many other people – overthinking and overanalyzing can lead to feelings of doubt about your skills or your ideas. I’m proud of how ‘Imposter Syndrome’ has come together, and I’m forever grateful for the people who have supported, pushed, and inspired me to keep growing as an artist and a person.”

Hydraulix is a staple artist within the WAKAAN family, a label founded and operated by Liquid Stranger. Between EP’s like 2019’s Space Cadet, and singles like “Let Em Drip,” he’s had demanding fans be on the look out out for him at various WAKAAN festival stage takeovers, tours, and the like. He shows are something not to be missed.
Coming out of lockdown via Australia’s strict CO-VID policies, this artist is ready to let loose, now delivering plenty of ammo for performances in the coming future.
