Massive, nostalgic, progressive house and touching, pure vocals is a wondering combination that’s hard to beat. That’s exactly what’s delivered in Arno Cost’s remix.
Denny Berland & Alicia Madison take center stage as the vocalist matching the huge beat before them. In particular, Alicia Madison has a long history of appearing on track’s with serious EDM flair. Initially dipping her toes in the music industry via an internship at Warner Bros. Records, word began to spread that Alicia had a hidden talent that, at the time, few new about. Today, she appears on several dance labels based out of the LA/ NY area, such as Clippers Sounds and Brawla Records.
There’s a certain special spark that Alicia Madison delivers in her music. It’s hard to tell whether it’s the gentle, yet quick vibrato or the bold sensations she delivers in the sound that make her sound so appealing – or both – either way she knows how to capture the moment like few do. For her, this just the beginning, Alicia has no plans of slowing down on what she loves doing.
With this said, we wanted to reach out to Alicia and wrap our brains around her. Alicia Madison has spared a few moments from the the busy day-to-day work to answers a in-depth Q&A from the WRR team.
Interview
There’s literally 1000’s who want to be considered an ‘EDM Singer’ how does it feel to be the voice that fits the genre?
Thanks for the compliment! It feels good to know that people are enjoying what I work so hard on.
Do you have any particular views on the gender gap within the EDM industry/scene? Do you feel like an issue is present?
I honestly don’t focus on it. There are a lot of males in the EDM scene but there are also talented females in the scene as well, and more coming up. I just focus on what I’m doing.
I grew up listening to Christina Aguilera, Evanescence, and Alanis Morsette. I used to study how Christina sang and how she performed. All of these artists were key inspirations to me.
I think songwriting is my favorite part. To be able to create melodies and lyrics that moves me is amazing. I write about a lot of personal things, so i always put in a lot of passion and emotion into my songs.
Wedding planner.
We were playing around with different ideas for the song and we came up with the version we have now. It worked perfectly.
I think it’s great. Why not have many different versions of your song? The more the merrier, I say.
More shows, traveling, releases all over the world and of course keep on writing more material. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the year!
