Jerry Folk is a man of many sounds. While the Oslo native is primarily known for his signature nu-disco style, he’s expanded his repertoire in his recent releases, displaying a deft hand at producing anything from nu disco, to deep house, and fusing it with a little bit of everything in between. His genre-defying skill could not be more apparent than in Folk’s latest effort, a remix of Years & Years’ “Desire.”
On the remix, Folk crafts a web of dark, pulsing basslines that dampens the mood, before he briskly ups the pace with sparkling, trickling synths and uplifting disco rhythms that makes his remix a dance floor heater.
