Juuku’s flip of Yetep and Daisy’s “Gravity” creates an out-of-this-world soundscape that’s hard and rhythmic, yet cloudy and vibey simultaneously, the drop being the peak of the intensity the sound has to offer. The original uses the analogy of gravity to paint a sorrowful picture of a decaying relationship. Juuku’s catchy addition upon the track refreshes the message without drowning out the theme of the original, while adding so much more substance.
Juuku is selective when it comes to the art and music he assigns himself to publicly. What seems like hand-sketched art and Japanese-influenced CD-ROM styled album covers make up a portion of what the artist has revealed thus far. Aside from this, his debut release, a remix of Banks, quickly turned heads and went on to receive tens of thousands of streams. Juuku needs a refill of whatever juice he’s been sipping on, there’s appreciation for the remixes coming out to say the least.
