Kaskade’s Performance Raised Temperatures at Release Pool Party [Event Review]

With degrees well over 100, it’s easy to hide indoors with the A/C blasting, but with Relentless Beats offering the hottest talent in dance music, cooling off poolside has never been more fun.

Last week, the sun was shining, the drinks were flowing, and the rave booty’s were out at Talking Stick Resort’s Release pool party in Scottsdale, Arizona. Attendees lounged in the luxurious cabanas and cooled off in one of two pools, as they eagerly awaited the Grammy nominated producer, Kaskade, to take the stage.

Up first was talented DJ/producer, Lema. He warmed up the decks and heated up the stage with his signature style of house music. Kaskade was up next, and as “Disarm You” hit the speakers, the dance floor was immediately flooded with hundreds of people. Fans went all out, showcasing their custom-made Kaskade merch, hand-made perler necklaces with his “Turn It Down” dripping lips logo, and flags galore.

Kaskade took the crowd on an emotional journey, having us bounce around one minute and holding back our tears the next.  He dazzled us with his Automatic hits, including “We Don’t Stop”, “Us”, and “A Little More.” Kaskade’s set list was also filled with our favorites from Atmosphere, including the album titled track and the tear-jerker, “Last Chance”. One particular moment that stood out among the rest was the mesmerizing effect of his Deadmau5 collab, “Beneath With Me.” When the beautiful vocal track filled the room, it seemed as though everything quieted down for a second. And of course, we cannot forget his closing track, “Eyes Reloaded,” which is a spectacular mashup of Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s “Reload” with his Grammy nominated “Eyes.” His mashup always serves as the perfect closer, as it leaves us and probably many others, nostalgic of their early festival days.

Having attended many Release pool parties over the years, we can confidently say that Kaskade was one for the books! Pool party season is sadly coming to a close as Labor Day Weekend marks the finale for Release parties until next summer. However, Release is going out with a bang, featuring two legendary producers, Tiesto and Dash Berlin, to end the summer off properly. More information on the upcoming events can be found here.
