LondonBridge and Lliam Taylor have just dropped a new two-track EP Creepin’ / Gassed and we honestly can’t get it off of repeat. The producer, Rami Perlman, has been throwing down booty shaking house sets at some of the biggest festival stages in the States at such festivals as EDC, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and recently on the Groove Cruise L.A.. He’s garnered support from influencers like Malaa, Ghastly, and Anna Lunoe with only two years producing under his belt, each track he drops has us starving for more. Perlman has been keeping himself busy with his co-founded project Space Yacht, where fans come together to get down to the underground grooves of L.A. He also keeps up with his fans demands of music with his weekly “The Underground Mix Series” radio show, where he throws down personal mixes and features up and coming artists. You may recognize his sound from his most coveted tracks like the seductive “Treat Me Right” and shuffle inducing “Can You Feel It.”
The EP starts off with “Creepin'” which includes an ominous voice detailing the all too familiar story of the weird world of dating and how we tend to do a little too much lurking through social media pages, thinking we have a deeper connection than we actually ever do. The lyric that especially adds to the eeriness, “Content/ She said I really like your content/ I can tell a lot about you, I bet/ I see all that life and happiness…”, as if that is all we are measured up to, what we put on Facebook and Instagram versus our actual substance. The track is moody, with the bass heavy and the synths playing a sinister melody. While we can’t help but bump this in the car, it definitely gives us something to think about, which just makes it all the more addicting.
The second track “Gassed” speeds up the tempo with a four to the floor beat before getting layered in with a warped voice ghosting in and out. He then blends in intense synth notes and it all culminates to the very top before we get a playful kick off into the groove. Perlman and Taylor keep us bumping the whole time and it leaves you in a daze when it finishes. The first time I personally heard this, I was driving and it was damn near impossible to keep my feet from trying to move around. This is definitely a track that will keep you going well after and make you wonder, why did this stop?
