It’s time for another album from the producer behind LO. Based in Berlin currently and having started his career at the start of the 2000’s, the likes of Hardwell, Satin Jackets and Laidback Luke are supporters and he has earned several million streams.
After the success of LO’s debut LP Lights, the new Night Owls is a conglomeration of work from the past few years – including his singles “BLU” and “LOST IN A DREAM.” Of the tracklist, we are especially drawn to the experimental “LOG LADY” and “STAY.” LO’s work throughout the album is heavily synth-drawn, and peppered with auto-tuned vocals for a mysterious and sometimes dark vibe. He avoids his work being pigeon-holed thanks to forays into electronic, R&B and chilled elements.
LO has said of the release: “Night Owls is my second full length album. With the first written song of this body of work dating back to the beginning of 2018, it’s taken quite a long period of time to get to this point. I Feel that the album’s quality in terms of songwriting and sound design really benefits from this. Written and worked on strictly after dawn, it shows a darker, more melancholic side of LO.“
