John Digweed & Danny Tenaglia will be taking over Governors Beach Club on Governors Island in New York City, Saturday, August 11th. This Made Event presents two dance music trendsetters mixing fantastic records along side artists Pleasurekraft and Sleepy & Boo. Governors Island Beach Club is know to be one of New York City’s most spectacular summer hot spots which makes this his historic event one not to be missed.
John Digweed is one of the planet’s most popular DJs, his radio show ‘Transition‘ is one of the world’s most successful dance music shows. ‘Transition’ is broadcasted across 45 countries generating an audience of over 14 million. On top of that Digweed has released top 40 records like ‘Heaven Scent’ and was voted DJ Mag’s #1 DJ in 2001. From deep house to techno and everything along those lines John produces and mixes creative sets that never lose their flavor. Another impressive feat is the success behind his label Bedrock which has developed some of the world’s best producers. Nick Muir and Guy J (products of Bedrock) are evidence, they have recently released ‘TREZZZ’, a major highlight on John Digweed’s latest ‘Live In Cordoba’ 3xCD album.
Danny Tenaglia’s success has come through his dedication to the art of DJing over the last 30 years. In the early 2000’s he was internationally celebrated, throwing massive annual parties at Miami’s Winter Music Conference as well as in Ibiza. Tenaglia also earned a Grammy nomination for his remix of Depeche Mode’s ‘I Feel Loved ‘. Danny explores different genres of music while spinning, ranging from house and tribal music to future techno. He is never afraid to push boundaries as he builds unique and special sets through his commitment to dance floor music.
John Digweed & Danny Tenaglia will be joined by the seductive, deep, and techno inspired music of Pleasurekraft and underground duo Sleep & Boo. The 18+ event will be held from 4 P.M. to midnight and is truly a historic night for dance music fans. The venue features a 4-story tent with open walls, an open air beach, VIP areas, a state of the art sound and light system, over 100 feet of bar space, and is topped off with a beautiful view of New York City.
