merry choppins is making his RaverRafting debut with 2 back-to-back singles released he’s titled, “cloudin/nananana.” “Cloudin,” features a chill indie-pop topline with a comfortable future-influenced beat backing it up. The vibe is chill and damn-near therapeutic, the vibes within easing the listener to a more relaxed disposition with it’s blend of electronic and pop design. “nananana,” goes a more lo-fi direction, vocal samples, cut-up violin, and live drums setting the pace of the mood. There’s similarities between the two that give it congruency as to why they were put together, but each have distinctive values that set it apart.
merry choppins has plenty of experience when it comes to producing and songwriting. He’s been in the game for years, working with artists like BTS, SIA, Andra Day, Yo Gotti, and so many others to enhance the productions of the their songs. The CO-VID pandemic gave him the opportunity to look inward and see what was truly passionate about musically. He decided to move forward with his own alias, setting his sites on the name merry choppins and settling on a course of action.
