Next Friday, Webster Hall is in for a real treat – for good reason. Get ready to meet Milo & Otis, two dudes who, by day, are a professional fake book writer and a gambling leprechaun farmer (trust us, it’s on their Facebook), and by night are one of the hottest duos in trap.
Over the last year they have signed with the major player AM Only, had major releases put out via OWSLA, and even were part of the 2014 Mothership Tour with none other than Skrillex himself. LA transplants by the way of Florida, Milo & Otis are on a steady rise. Not only did their recent collaboration with A-Track, “Out The Speakers”, debut at No. 14 on the Dance/Electronic billboard charts, but it also landed a Mountain Dew commercial that had spots in the Super Bowl, Grammy’s, and the NBA All-Star Game. Their recent single “Trap Arms”, is the epitome of a trap anthem, which brings bass and brass to a whole new level. It even has a website dedicated to it: (http://www.trap-arms.com/).
Also on the bill are AM Only teammates Ape Drums and WUKI, who are stand out artists in their own regard. Ape Drums hails from Houston, TX, and has recently received heavy rotation from Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, and Flosstradamus. Opening the night is WUKI, an artist that blends multiple genres into a sound that touches on booty, breaks, electro, and house.
