The ‘Eternal Frequencies; Equinox’ EP is available for free download on Minnesota‘s Facebook and it is a MUST listen for all the trip-hop lovers out there (like myself). It consists of ‘Bloom’ and ‘Stardust Redux’ and the sounds combine the sampling genius of Pretty Lights with the ambient flow of Emancipator along with smooth bass heavy drops reminiscent of Bassnectar.
Any artist that seamlessly fuses ‘Ice Cream Paint Job’ by Dorrough with ‘Everything In Its Right Place’ by Radiohead and then follows with a classic Wu-Tang sample in the same mix definitely deserves a listen. Minnesota is currently on tour and is infamous for orchestrating incredibly diverse DJ sets so I highly recommend checking him out if he’s making a stop in your town – tour dates listed after the break.
