Alabama-raised Ian Evans began his MIZE project in 2017, quickly earning a reputation within the dubstep community as a talented producer to keep an eye on. Now, the melodic bass producer is prepared to unveil his debut single on Wakaan, “Thought Process,” the first track to a forthcoming EP.
“Thought Process” dives deep into MIZE’s professed love for downtempo adventures, and it’s definitely a changeup that reflects his complex sound design and capacity for dynamic creation. It’s notably a major contrast to the more recent releases from the wonky bass label, charismatically shifting from crowd-moving, aggressive bass to thought provoking, deeper dubstep.
“Thought Process” takes bass music fans back to Wakaan’s early days of deep, melodic dubstep. While no solid EP release date has been publicly announced yet, we’re looking forward to seeing what else MIZE has in store for all the bass-fanatics.
“Thought Process was a tune that came together during a time of immense change and transition in my life. It was a period with a great deal of reflection and introspection, which lead to me writing out and recording my thought process.” -MIZE
