The clock’s have been set back, and the days are getting darker. What better time to hibernate with your headphones and listen to some hypnotic techno. In volume 10 of “On Tuesdays We Techno,” we’ve rounded up some heavy hitters and minimal gems. Unlike past editions, chances are that this time around you won’t be all that familiar with the roster. This handful of players are mix of young, rising talents who are on the verge of making names for themselves, with a few veterans only techno die-hard fans can fawn over. On the lineup, you can expect to hear original tracks from Pleasurekraft, Raxon, Maksim Dark, Mako Chikano, and Weska. Now, lights out, headphones on – see you on the dark side.
Pleasurekraft – Nagelbett
The infamous duo that makes up Pleasurekraft has concocted a mix that truly emulates their motto, “making music for dancing and other physical indulgences.” Out now on Ramiro Lopez and Arjun Vagale’s Odd Recordings, the title-track “Nagelbett” is part of a killer 2-track EP with beats that will quite literally make your head spin off.

Raxon – Orix
Egyptian-born DJ and producer Raxon has quickly become the Middle East’s most respected electronic artist. Raised in the United Arab Emirates, his time spent as a resident DJ for Audio Tonic in Dubai exposed him to a wide variation of sound, most importantly the influences of quality dance music, like what you’re about to listen to. Now based in Barcelona, Raxon makes his debut on Adam Beyer’s Truesoul with Heliopolis EP, dubbed a masterful piece by the Drumcode King himself. Our favorite of the four-track EP comes in the form of “Orix.” It’s heavy on the peak-time, heavy on the bass, and all around heavenly to delve into.

Maksim Dark – Supersaw
This painstakingly talented youngin made his mark on the underground seen in Russia by becoming known for his killer live sets. It wasn’t long until Maksim Dark caught the attention of heavy weights like Richie Hawtin, Olver Huntemann, Dubfire, and Sian, who have said that he’s a prime example of how raw talent always gets noticed eventually. This killer is now making waves once again on Octopus Records with his latest Supersaw EP. The title-track is mad up of a rapid, heavy hitting beat, with demonic vocals, and intergalactic-sound licks that will send you off into another world.

Mako Chikano – Ride
Mako Chikano is the definition of fresh meat to the underground scene in Europe. This German DJ and producer is so new that his biography stands as “coming soon” on his Facebook page. Nonetheless, he brings solid skill and aptness to the two tracks that make up his first ever release Ride. Out now on Fierce Animal Recordings, the title-track is a beautifully crafted minimal beat that’s heavy, hypnotic, and incredibly satisfying.

Weska – And Then There Was You
This Toronto-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer is quickly becoming known for his ability to stop crowds in their tracks and command dance floors. His music is dark, yet deliciously groovy, made up of beats that are dynamic and bold. A perfect example of this comes in the form of the stunner “And Then There Was You.” Out now on Pleasurekraft’s imprint Kraftek Music, it’s part of his latest four-track Voyage EP, that has been receiving massive support by the industry’s top notch players. Just last month, Joseph Capriati dropped our favorite track of the EP (and apparently his too) during his set at Awakenings ADE and the crowd went mental to say the least.
