PEEKABOO & G-REX have shared a new six-track remix EP featuring a slew of bass-ready edits of their hit track “Babatunde.” The original (dropped in 2018) has been streamed nearly half a million times, and its fresh edits also see a release via Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan label.
Tapping the likes of Dirt Monkey, Eliminate and TYNAN for the remix project, offerings from the likes of Circus Records’ LUZCID and Icon Collective graduates um.. close the collection with a deliciously satisfying blend of snaking bass warps and off-kilter rhythms.
Talking on the EP G-REX explained: “For this remix EP, we went out and handpicked not only some amazing artists, but our great friends as well to remix our track. Each remix comes with their own unique style that makes the entire package cohesive and interesting.”
