Last year, Australian duo Peking Duk, released their cinematic single “Stranger” featuring Elliphant. Their track was an instant success, reaching Platinum status in Australia and over 10 million streams on Spotify. The pair recently welcomed back “Stranger”, but in the form of a two-part remix package. Part one of the remix package was released last week featuring outstanding reworks from Destructo, Y2K, and Blanke.
Today, the duo is back with part two, featuring renditions from four other major producers. The first remix comes from fellow Australian producer, Wax Motif. Motif delivers a future house rendition that builds into a dance track perfect for any dance floor. The remix pack follows with Faux Tales, as he portrays a more chill bass style using uplifting instrumental riffs. The third cut was created from trap mastermind, Jackal. Jackal serves us a dreamy chilled out interpretation with layered drum beats perfectly in sync with the sultry vocals. Finally, the pack closes with the most unique rendition of the bunch, as Benson transforms the single into a bass driven house track.
Peking Duk’s platinum record was great to begin with, but with “Stranger (Remixes Part 2)” there is a version for every electronic music fan. Bravo to the guys for their success and allowing us to fall in love with “Stranger” yet again.
