Pendulum Set To Release New Album Next Year

The name Pendulum may sound familiar to you, but perhaps you aren’t completely aware of who they are. Pendulum used to be an Australian/British drum and bass group, breaking up in 2012 when members Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen formed the now extremely popular Knife Party. Well, fans of Pendulum can stop lamenting their break up, as Rob Swire just announced that a new Pendulum Album is set to release next year.

With a distinct sound melding hard rock, electro, dubstep, and drum and bass, its easy to see why fans were upset about the breakup of such a unique group. However, it appears Swire and McGrillen may be taking some time off from Knife Party to focus on Pendulum and jar up the electronic music scene once again. With Swire and McGrillen coming from Knife Party and KJ Sawka coming from Destroid, it’ll be interesting to hear how the new Pendulum album is influenced by the changing sounds of electronic music.
