Electronic rock legends Pendulum are back with their latest musical masterpiece: the Anima EP, set to be unveiled on November 3 through Mushroom Records. Already buzzing through the global music scene, the first two tracks from the EP, “Halo ft. Matt Tuck” and “Colorfast,” have garnered over 13 million streams this summer alone. These numbers were further bolstered by 1.5 million views and consistent airplay on Music Choice’s METAL channel.
Few bands in the music industry wield the ability to navigate between the electronic and rock genres with the finesse Pendulum does. Their talent and influential long-standing style is evident as they seamlessly grace both metal and dance festival stages. The EP is an assembly of electrifying collaborations. Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine joins the mix, as does rapper and screamo artist Scarlxrd. Their track “Mercy Killing ft. Scarlxrd,” launched on November 1, is a dynamic concoction of rock, screamo, and exhilarating drum and bass, particularly resounding in the chorus. Another standout, “Silent Spinner,” introduces a Spanish horn segment that transitions into a captivating groove enriched with metallic synth sounds and fluid vocal harmonies.
As anticipation builds, fans can also look forward to the band’s 2024 US tour announcement, with a promise of numerous festival stages on the itinerary.
Tracing back to their roots in Perth, Australia, Pendulum’s synthesis of drum and bass with rock has made them a global sensation.
