Porter Robinson’s “The Seconds” is one of my favorite electro tracks ever. The original packs a tight punch while offering solid trance-y synth bars that inspire goosebumps almost instantly with the help of Jano’s vocal work. Robinson’s tune was released in 2011 and NGHTMRE & Davey Gray have put a proper 2014 spin on it. Their cut ditches much of the electro structure and replaces it with sweeping melodies, bass as well as original percussion and cheeky vocal patterns. I can’t put my finger on what’s so addicting about this record… all of the elements come together very well.
