Yesterday Quintino and Bassjackers released their remixes of Spencer & Hill’s ‘Surrender’ via Spinnin’ Records. Quintino’s remix offers a progressive house approach that sounds distant from the original, the light uplifting melody compliments Ari’s angelic vocals. Bassjackers on the other hand stick to their electro house roots. they insert a heart racing build up that leads into heavy ‘JACKED’ style bleeps. Both producers cut out a majority of the vocals and focus completely on their sound. I’m a fan of both remixes because they clearly bring something new and refreshing to the table.
