RaverRafting’s weekly playlist this time round is definitely an eclectic mix of tracks from artists from around the world. November finally brought us the release of Bicep’s electronica and downtempo track “Glue”, that we heard played in festival sets throughout the summer and have been trying to locate since then. Similarly, another electronic sound that caught our attention this week was from UK DJ Artwork and his kicking track “Let Go Of This Acid”.
From Aliso’s “Gravity” to the RIOT remix of Infected Mushroom’s “U R So F**ked” to Hotel Garuda’s “Dancing On The Moon” featuring Lemaitre, this week has been an interesting time for new releases. As we’re well and truly done with the festival season and we’re in a sort of limbo period between Halloween and the Christmas/New Year party season, it could be said that DJs are saving the big tracks for later on this month.
The A-Trak remix of Maroon 5’s hit song “What Lovers Do” adds a gentler touch to the pop-y nature of the original, but it’s still one that will get you onto the dancefloor. If you’re looking for something a little softer and melodious, Convex’s “Dainichi” is the one for you – perfect for those nights when you get home after a night out and need to chill out before heading to bed.
This week’s playlist also features two tracks from Gabriel & Dresden: “Waiting For Winter” and “White Walls”, both tracks headed for success. k?d, having gained popularity in the charts in recent years, has partnered up with Blair for “Distance”, released on label ICONS. One of our favourites has to be FISHER’s “Ya Didn’t” on Oi Oi released on Dirtybird, but Sonny Fodera’s mix up of Sinead Harnett’s “Unconditional” tops our list.
