Rebecca Scheja and Fiona FitzPatrick met at a friend’s house party and started to make music together in 2007. Now, the Swedish pop-DJ duo is climbing its way up with the release of The Art of Being a Girl album, out since September 7th. In anticipation of the album, the girl released not one, but two version of “Different“, one featuring Marcy Chin and the other with Parham.
When asked about the releases, Rebecca and Fiona said:
Different is a love song about jealousy. We also chose the theme because we are both very different – but differences do not necessarily mean something bad. In today’s world, we need now more than ever to learn to accept each other’s differences and learn to live side by side. We hope you can listen to the song and hear two stories.
The album marks an important step in their career, a moment of breaking free, as The Art of Being a Girl was released via independent Stockholm-based label Stereo Stereo. A mix of personal expression, high-pitch vocals, emotion, and club beats, “Different” and the entire album is the result of hard work put in by Rebecca and Fiona and the pouring out of their souls. We’re more than excited to hear again from these girls while we can’t get enough of their new album.
