Today, RÜFÜS DU SOL released the official music video of their third single “Lost In My Mind,” off of their acclaimed Solace album. The result is a doleful yet honest depiction of the emotional lows and struggles that can loom over the creative process and production — stages that most people imagine to be more glamorized than they might actually be at times.
The music video is a representation of the long, dark, and harrowing hours spent as they worked day-in and day-out to create their most celebrated album to date. Exploring themes of creative isolation, the music video sees the group take on a metaphorical portrayal of smashing through emotional walls while stuck within the grips of a couch. The story line is set within one of Los Angeles’ industrial warehouse compounds, paralleling the subterranean music scene of which the band frequented between writing sessions on the album.
