The house music DJ/producer duo known as DISCO DIKC have dropped yet another juicy remix. After successfully producing remixes to the likes of DESTRUCTO, Borgore and more, they’ve reached back into the depths of time and pulled out a classic with the legendary Santana song “Black Magic Woman.” The USA-based duo go on to say about the remix:
We have been fans of this tune and old Santana records for years and felt that the bass line had potential to be flipped into a house melody. We also felt this is a tune that hasn’t been remixed to death so we gave it our best shot trying to give it a new vibe and twist while still preserving some original elements of the song.
We have to applaud the boys on their effort, because quite frankly, they nailed it. A deep bass line enters with sharp percussion elements and snapping fingers that instantly get your head moving side to side while Gregg Rolie’s woe-ing voice enchants, just like the original, creating an instant smash.
After surfacing in mid 2016, the boys have released over 60 official tracks with many remixes along the way. Three different mix series, multiple guest mixes, a new release on ODFM Records, upcoming releases on G-Mafia Records, and a new imprint by Enzo Siffredi (Defected/Wired/Suara) called Below The Belt all prove that DISCO DIKC are on a continuing quest to cover a big horizon in 2018 and beyond.
