Seven Lions Taps Last Heroes and HALIENE for Emotive New Single, “Don’t Wanna Fall”

Seven Lions is hot on the heels of his last massive EP release, Find Another Way, that has quickly cultivated a massive amount of streams and even a ten track remix compilation from artists like MitiS, Delta Heavy, Gabriel & Dresden and more. The man behind the magic, Jeff Montalvo, has turned up production to the nine’s within not only his own work but within Ophelia as well. Introducing new artists to the label like Inukshuk and Awakend, producing new series like ‘Visions” on Twitch and “The Odyssey” guest mixes featuring different artists from Ophelia, and bringing back Drinking with Strangers to give fans the opportunity to enjoy a Seven Lions themed cocktail kit and a one-on-one virtual meeting.

Tapping melodic bass duo, Last Heroes, the trio put their minds and hearts together to create an incredibly striking melody. The Colorado natives most recently had their premiere EP on Ophelia with No Sleep//Naked Soul and has previously remixed legendary tracks like “Dreamin'” and Montalvo’s collab track with Above & Beyond, “See the End”. A vocalist that has become beloved by all in the EDM scene, who is beginning to sound synonymous with Ophelia releases and Montalvo’s music, HALIENE, returns to bring her serene touch. Since their last collaboration on the bookending track, “What’s Done is Done”, on Find Another Way, our love for her ignited ten fold.

“Don’t Wanna Fall”, is a trifecta of soundscape beauty, with HALIENE’s ethereal vocals describing that terrifying leap of faith into love, floating amongst inspiring synths before dropping down into powerful supersaws that leave us gasping for air. The ebb and flow of this is impeccably moving and aspirational. The last drop really throws us up into that moment where your stomach soars before plummeting down into the next roller coaster.
