There’s a brand new EP from Shlump now out, and it’s time to turn it up if you haven’t already caught it. Titled System Crash, this pulsating bass riot drops through Wakaan and features four tracks.
From the title track to the ensuing “Bum Rush Dub,” things are fairly low-slung and drawn out. The Cali based producer suddenly ups the intensity levels for “Mysteries” and “Spaceflight,” which come at you riddled with colossal dubstep drops and ragged riff patterns. He says:
With System Crash,’ I had the intention to curate an EP that broke conventional genre boundaries. I took inspiration from many different, strange places and wanted each track to have a vibe of its own. The goal was to create songs that would bend the normal “formula.”
