The second installment of our weekly Spectrum Of Sound mix series is back, this time with some Liquid DnB / drumstep from Trapsey Farce. Most of you may know him better as Halsey Ruckus, one half of Bassdread, who was a staple in the underground electronic music scene throughout the mid-atlantic area. Halsey has doubled up with his dashing counterpart Lexie, aka ‘Docta Lex’, whose musical influence on this episode was both crucial and necessary in creating this groove and many more to come. Producing under the new moniker Trapsey Farce, his pristine knack for soulful production remains, making itself evident in the aforementioned 45 minutes of exclusive music which he has graced us with.
I’ve always had this passion for not only finding music for myself that I’ve never heard before, but also for sharing this music that I love with other people, even before it was a live thing. -Halsey
This 45 minute upbeat mix is filled with passively soothing vocals which clash perfectly on the DnB/drumstep backdrop. There seems to be a pure energy surrounding this mix – that of raw dance floor energy reminiscent of the Baltimore underground rave scene. Lose yourself journey music. So many levels of definitive sound. What do you guys think?
