SXSW has always been heralded as one of the most important and valued festivals that encompasses film, interactive media, music, technology, and performance arts. Creators from all around the world fly down to Austin, Texas to show see what is up and coming in the industry as well as share with other enthusiasts how to broaden their scope and share their passions. It’s a flourish of innovation, orginality, and inspiration. SXSW is planning to bring back Ultra Records for a music showcase this year. The indie electronic label will bring out artists that have been a highlight on their radar in 2017. Fans have come to know Ultra Records as a powerhouse company that always has it’s ears to the ground for growing talent and contemporary interpretations of EDM.
Ultra Records has recently announced the lineup for their production that features a wide array of tastes, talents, and genres that everyone can get down to. The artists to hit the stage at the Esther’s Follies downtown theatre are the synth-pop duo Great Good Fine Ok, East Coast singer-songwriter Haux, Colombian-based due Salt Cathedral, bass and hip hop infused YehMe2, and Dublin native multi-instrumentalist EMBRZ. Each artist has something completely unique to offer and it will definitely be an excellent demonstration of how wide the net can cast throughout electronic music.
