With summer fast approaching, 18-year-old, Vancouver native, SYRE, has delivered his latest offering, “Burn,” a nu-disco jam with just the right touch of summer. It’s not often that you’ll come across an artist with less than 2,000 likes on Facebook and possesses the amount of talent that SYRE does, but one listen through “Burn” will tell you that the talented youngster is on the fast-track to stardom, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down until he reaches it.
Featuring Kendra Dias on the vocals, “Burn” draws from quirky inspirations – it opens with muffled talking, as if the track were recorded in a coffee shop, and an out-of-the-box sample of ping-pong balls bouncing before transitioning into wavy synth patterns and a bouncing, bubbly bass line underneath a polished guitar riff. “Burn” is out now as a free download, so get your copy here!
