For me, listening to Terravita paints a nostalgic picture of Starscape Festival last year where the trio feverishly nourished a mass of bass hungry animals in Baltimore, Md. As the beach side stage played host to a multitude of artists on the day, none was as blazen with pop-off energy like the Beantown’s finest. Today I bring you a new release along with a little something special that we will call their “holiday treat to fans”.
Spice By The Glass was sent through the pipes earlier this week as a free download. A lot of different sounds in this one which all seem to mend together genuinely for a smooth, seductive bass monster. It’s as if they wanted to take a little stab at some Grizmatik-ish funksoulectro while blending it it with those volatile, earth splitting bass strings Terravita is renowned and loved for. Spice By The Glass has a funky guitar and sax foundation which paces the track.
This is the originality I look for in artists and was pleasantly impressed. What was probably just an idea amongst many others in the studio at one time transformed into a refreshing tangible for the ears.
Following the single up is their first Greatest Hits volumein time for the festive season, which reincarnates 5 past releases (including this most recent) and compiles them onto one album. It can be downloaded as a whole for free here -> DOWNLOAD.
