Chicago DJ’s Sephano & Torio have had quite a lot of experience when it comes to producing quality mashups and bootlegs (their “You’re Gonna Hope Again” bootleg is one of the best I’ve ever heard), and this time around they’ve decided to take on the legendary Pendulum track ‘Island’ along with Denzal Park’s ‘Amarok’. Unlike most Island bootlegs (which never seem to bring out the beauty of the Island vocals), Sephano & Torio’s bootleg finds the right balance between ‘Island’ and ‘Amarok’. The trance-y, progressive chords of ‘Amarok’ provide the perfect backing track to Rob Swire’s haunting vocals, and together they create a track you can listen to for hours on end and not get tired of. ‘The Island of Amarok’ is available for free download on Sephano & Torio’s Facebook page, along with all of their other bootlegs and mashups, and it’s definitely worth your time to head over and check it out.
