Last night Joel Zimmerman and Kat Von D appropriately titled “Katmau5” announced that the relationship and pending marriage was off. Sadly our favorite EDM couple since Skrillex and Ellie Goulding were no more. The couple’s engagement lasted for a total of 193 days. That’s almost three times as long as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Salute.
It was only appropriate that the breakup would be announced through social media as they constantly broadcasted their relationship through Twitter and Instagram. At times it seemed unreal, but that’s Hollywood right?

The conversation over twitter was slightly ridiculous and he used paint to type over the image? Not sure why Deadmau5 couldn’t have waited for the black diamond or why he did this, but this was just the beginning.

Maybe there would be a more appropriate way to announce the breakup, but I usually breakup with girls through text message so I’ll leave this one to the experts.

Okay we understand that the announcement needed to be made and it cleared up a lot about what happened. Now looking at the relationship it looks like they just went through the same problems we all experience.
Kat Von D shoots back and calls out Joel on the bullshit.
Okay way to open this thing up and then pull some teenage bs with the “don’t ever speak my name again”. So if what Kat Von D is saying is true, then Joel cheated on her and got some other girl pregnant. Basically the complete opposite of what he said on his Facebook page.
Where is this all going?
Deadmau5 has a history of dealing with anxiety and depression, I would expect that this will have implications on his career and future. The whole situation still seems kind of unreal because it’s the complete opposite of how Deadmau5 usually acts. Anti-hollywood, anti-corporate but this relationship story has played out like cheap reality television.
