Welcome to week 19 of Throwback Thursday! Lately we’ve been on a progressive house run featuring tracks from Michael Calfan, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Jus Jack, and Sidney Samson. Next week we are considering kicking it back to a trance classic, however we’ve been itching to incorporate this track into the series and we’re thrilled to finally have it featured in this week of Throwback Thursday.
Released in 2012 on Tiesto’s Club Life Volume 2, ‘Long Time’ was the first release by Swedish DJ and producer John De Sohn that solidified himself in the progressive house scene. The upbeat tune eloquently showcases the progressive style and production that would define a genre for years. De Sohn would follow up this track with several other progressive anthems that kept him in the spotlight well after Tiesto’s Club Life. Give the track a listen below and be sure to check out De Sohn’s Spotify for some other hidden gems.
