Today Tiesto announced the launch of his very is own AKG headphone line, they are branded as the first headphones engineered for electronic dance music. In the video above Tiesto states that AKG stands for quality in terms of sound and design, he goes on to talk a little bit about each model.
There are three different models of AKG by Tiesto, the K67’s, K167’s, and K267’s. All three are over-ear and the the K67’s go for a very reasonable $99, the professional and high performance models increase to $199 and $299. The three models offer a folding design for easy travel and they are build relatively similarly with the k267’s as an exception. Being the highest performance and the most expensive of the three, the K267’s have an aluminum build and duel plugin’s for either the left and right earphone. I should also mention that the K267’s will be available at the end of October while the other two are available now.
I’m going to be buying a pair of the K267’s when they go live, I’ll be sure to let you know how they sound. For some reason I feel like we can trust Tiesto’s judgement. If you buy a pair be sure to tell us how you like them.
