Iconic Dutch DJ and producer, Tiesto, as well as Axwell (formerly a member of dance music super-group “Swedish House Mafia”), are to perform at the Winter X Games in Aspen, CO this January. Tiesto’s set will close the X Games, and he is scheduled to play on Sunday, January 26th at 5:15pm, preceded by Axwell, who will play at 4 pm. In a news release, Tiesto expressed his excitement to play this event:
“I’m a huge sports fan so it’s quite an honor to be a part of the X Games experience…Aspen provides such a unique setting for a DJ set and I can’t wait to party on the slopes.”
Last year’s Winter X Games also featured performances by several electronic artists, including Major Lazer, Zedd, and Calvin Harris. Tickets sold to these shows will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research, and every performance will be streamed live.
